Macie Campbell of Beach Cities Swimming has committed to UChicago for this coming fall. Campbell is a senior at Redondo Union High School.

Campbell has gone lifetime bests in the 50 free and 100 fly multiple times since the pandemic started. The last high school championships that she competed in was the 2019 CIF Southern Division 2 Section Championships, as a sophomore, where she placed ninth in the 100 free.
Last season, Campbell would’ve been #2 on the UChicago roster in the 100 free. At the 2020 UAA Championships, she would’ve made the 100 free A-final and 200 free B-final, and she’s likely to earn a spot on at least the 400 free relay right away.
Campbell joins Karen Zhao and Samantha Bertschi in UChicago’s incoming class.
