Atiya “Immy” Yuwana, a current high school senior from Garden Grove, California, has committed to swim for D1 California State University, Bakersfield. Yuwana will graduate from Los Alamitos High School in May 2020 and join the California State Runner’s class of 2024 under head coach Chris Hansen.
Yuwana, a sprinter, currently swims with the Seal Beach Swim Club.

With her current best time, Yuwana would have placed 16th in the 200 IM (2:07.56) at the 2019 WAC Conference Championship meet. At this meet, the CSU Bakersfield women placed 6th as a team, but the 200 IM was a strength for them, including then-freshman Autumn D’Arcy winning the conference title in 1:59.97.
Yuwana will begin her swimming career at California State University Bakersfield beginning fall 2020.
