Youngstown State (8), Ohio State (6) Lead Men’s NCAA Transfer Portal Numbers

Youngstown State has the highest number of men in the NCAA transfer portal with eight athletes in the portal. Ohio State has the second highest with six men.

The Youngstown State men finished 3rd overall at the 2026 Horizon League Championships with 494 points. Earlier this month, head coach Brad Smith stepped down from his position after seven seasons with the program. The highest scorer in the portal is diver Rafael Serey-Cormier

Ohio State has six men in the portal. Out of those six swimmers, three of them competed for the Buckeyes this season and swam in prelims at Big Tens but were not members of the scoring roster. The other three athletes did not compete for the team at all this season but rather they competed with their respective club teams.

The Louisville men have five athletes in the portal including ACC ‘B’ finalist Aidan Paro. Paro was 14th in the 100 fly (45.93) and 16th in the 200 fly (1:44.23) at ACCs. He went on to swim a 45.23 at Louisville’s Last Chance meet. ACC ‘C’ finalist Thomas Powers-Hammond is also in the portal and was 23rd in the 200 fly (1:44.07) and 24th in the 100 fly (46.44).

No surprise Dorenkott is losing swimmers. Dude has never apologized for anything wrong he’s done and has never had integrity with his word.

Ohio State losing 6+ out of 25 returners. Auburn losing 3+ of 17 returners. Louisville losing 5+ out of 24 returners. Rumors circulating that there are more entering portal after NCAAs. Is this a continued impact of roster limits with increased pressure to score at NCAAs and/or has the team culture been destroyed with the deep cuts and increased % of foreign swimmers who are often older? D1 roster spots are so limited and there really isn’t much NIL money in swimming, I think it speaks volumes that we are seeing this much movement…I’m just not sure what is being spoken exactly.
