Lexie D’Amico Breaks 13-14 National Age Group Record With 27.80 SCY 50 Breast

2026 Columbia Spring Sectionals

14 year old Lexie D’Amico swam to a new National Age Group (NAG) record in the 13-14 girls 50 breast as she touched in a 27.80 for the win on the final night of Sectionals in Columbia, MO. D’Amico broke the previous record of a 27.98 set by Grace Koenig-Song back in 2025.

This marks D’Amico’s first ever NAG record, and she has made huge strides since entering the 13-14 age group as her best time before aging up is not in the top 100 for the 11-12 50 breaststroke.

She swims for Razorback Aquatic Club Aquahawgs (HAWG). She entered the day with a lifetime best 28.17 that she swam a year ago at Columbia Sectionals for a 2nd place finish.

D’Amico had a strong showing this week in Columbia as she won the 100 breast last night in a 1:00.75, only 0.01 off her lifetime best 1:00.74 that she swam in December at Winter Juniors. That best time sits at #8 all-time in the 13-14 age group as the NAG sits at a 59.94.

This week, she swam to lifetime bests in the 50 free (22.75), 100 free (49.38), and 200 free (1:47.19). She made the ‘A’ final in all three of those events as well.
