Three NCAC Meet Records Go Down On Night 3, Two By Denison And One By Kenyon

The Denison men and the Kenyon women both expanded upon their leads on night 3 of the NCAC Championships.

Men’s Recap

Denison swam to two NCAC meet records with Jack Hill leading the way breaking the 200 free record as he touched in a 1:35.66. Hill holds the top time in Division III this season as he swam a 1:35.18 back in December. Teammate Nick Hensel touched 2nd in a 1:37.30.

Hill also swam on Denison’s 200 free relay that also swam to a meet record. Hill led of in a 19.90 and was followed by Hensel, Cam Blevins-Mohr, and Samuel Hibbert. Hensel split a 19.13, the fastest split of the field as the group touched in a 1:18.42.  The previous record stood at a 1:18.77 set in 2012 by Kenyon’s relay of Somers, Turk, Ramsey, and Richardson.

Blevins-Mohr swam to his own individual win of the night, touching in a 47.57 in the 100 fly. That marked a best time for the freshman as he entered the meet with a lifetime best 48.21.

Ben Bevill led a 1-2 finish for Denison in the 100 back as he touched in a 48.42, ahead of teammate Devin Testin who swam to a 49.36.

The Kenyon men were led by Ethan Manske who had a huge breaststroke split in the 400 IM to pass Denison’s Luke Swiggett for the win. Manske touched in a 3:52.99 while Swiggett touched in a 3:54.94.

Also earning a win for Kenyon was junior Noel Tumbasz as he won the 100 breast in a 54.42, touching half a second ahead of teammate Leo Karnitz who swam to a 54.99.

Women’s Recap

The Kenyon women were led by Gwen Eisenbeis who swam to a NCAC meet record in the 100 backstroke, touching in a 54.36. That broke the previous record of a 54.71 set in 2022 by Olivia Smith of Kenyon. Eisenbeis entered the day with a lifetime best 54.62 and now moves up to #1 in the NCAA this season. She notably was 5th in the 100 back at the 2025 D3 NCAA Championships.

Also earning a win for Kenyon was Molly Haag who swam to another win after touching 1st in the 500 free last night. Haag won the 200 free tonight in a 1:49.68, just over a second ahead of teammate Nora Lee Brown who was 2nd in a 1:50.69.

Kelsey Van Eldik touched 1st in the 100 breast for Kenyon, winning in a 1:01.32. She has been as fast as a 1:00.76 this season, a time that leads the NCAA by over a second this season.

Despite Kenyon growing their lead, Denison had a big night as well. Highlighting the night for Denison was the women’s 200 free relay as Olivia Morse, Phoebe Ferguson, Hailey Kaminski, and Caroline Ramirez touched in a 1:32.43. That was just 0.07 ahead of Kenyon’s 1:32.50.

Ferguson swam the 100 fly earlier in the evening, posting a 55.40 for 2nd to touch just 0.02 behind teammate Jassy Park who won the event in a 55.38.

Denison’s other win came from senior Emily Harris who won the 400 IM in a 4:22.77. Harris has been as fast as a 4:20.06 this season, a time that currently sits at the top of Division III this season.

UAA’s are still ongoing at the moment but Kaley McIntyre just broke 15 year old NCAA D3 record in the 2 free 1:44.74!

They are missing Matt Peitler, for which reason I don’t know. But that is also possible.
