Men’s Recap
The Denison men won three out of the four events on night 2 in their home pool. Sophomore George Goins posted a 4:26.22 in the 500 freestyle for the win. Goins has been as fast as a 4:23.37 which he swam to win the NCAA Division III ‘B’ final last year .
The 200 IM was a huge event for the program as Jack Hill led a 1-2-3 finish for Denison. Hill touched in a 1:47.02, ahead of Devin Testin (1:48.18) and Luke Swiggett (1:48.57). New to the NCAC this season, John Carroll freshman Jacob Florio was 4th in a 1:48.69, a program record.
The final individual event of the night was won by Kenyon’s Djordje Dragojlovic as he touched in a 19.96 in the 50 free. Dragojlovic has been as fast as 19.53, a time that currently sits at the top of D3 this season. He was 3rd in the event with a 19.61 at 2025 NCAAs. Although Dragojlovic earned the win for Kenyon, Denison had a 2-3-4 finish with Nick Hensel (2nd, 20.03), Cam Blevins-Mohr (3rd, 20.20), and Samuel Hibbert (4th, 20.28).

Buzzy the Big Red Buzzard is flying high! Go Denison
What a session. Just wish the effort on the stream was a bit better. The guy doing commentary sounded like he barely knew what was going on, and the cameras were all over the place.
Agreed
Some how the commentary was better than last night’s relays…
That is true. By the end of the session it was fine but man during the men’s 500s it was bad. Had names completely flipped and was looking in the wrong lanes.
A nod to the decades of excellent announcing from Tim Shutt seems like it would fit here.
Not for nothing, but if you’re expecting any kind of decent level commentary for a D3 conference meet, you’ll be nothing but disappointed.
There are hundreds of former D3 swimmers around who think they know everything and can do everything better than everyone…wonder why none of them stick their hand up for the assignment?
