PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Following a successful return to competition last weekend with a Senior Day win over La Salle, Rutgers swimming and diving is back in action this weekend. The Scarlet Knights head to Lincoln to meet Big Ten foe Nebraska at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Live results will be available, as well as a video stream on YouTube.
Meet Info
The meet takes place over the course of two days. Session one starts at 6 p.m. on Friday night. Friday’s session will include the 200 Medley Relay, 500 Free, 200 IM, 200 Breast, 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Fly and 200 Free Relay. On Saturday, the team will compete in the 400 Medley Relay, 1650 Free, 50 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 400 IM and the 400 Free Relay.
Diving will be split across the two days. Friday is the 3M dive and the 1M dive is on Saturday.
About Rutgers
Rutgers is coming off a strong performance in the pool last weekend, winning 225-71 over La Salle. At that meet, RU honored eight seniors in a pre-meet ceremony: Angelica Bath, Megan Fox, Grace Hagemaster, Jillian Ruffner, Ellie Schinsky, Katherine Lang, Cameron Kuriger and Sephora Ford. On the swimming side, Rutgers had the event winner in every race, placed someone 1-2 in every race but three, and had the top three finishers in two events. In diving, Rutgers had the top four finishers on both 3-meter and on platform.
Rutgers excelled in the classroom this fall as well. The team was named a Scholar All-America team by the CSCAA and had a semester GPA of 3.398 with six 4.0 students and 12 on the Dean’s List.
Top-10 Tracker
Rutgers has set 12 new marks on the program’s all-time top-10 lists this season. Anna Vlachou leads the way with three. Nine of them are on the swimming side, with three new marks on the diving boards. Three of them reached the top-3 all-time, while five of them are among the four fastest.

About Nebraska
The Huskers enter the weekend with a 6-2 meet record. Nebraska has earned wins over South Dakota State, Omaha, South Dakota, Iowa State, Kansas, Illinois and finished in First Place at the Hawkeye Invitational.
The meeting with Nebraska is an annual one for the Scarlet Knights. RU hosted the Huskers at the same point in the season last year, welcoming them in for RU’s Senior Day. Nebraska earned a 210-143 win last season.

This is the final full team meet before the Big Ten Championships. Rutgers’ divers also have one more tuneup, as RU hosts the Rutgers Platform Invitational on February 7.
