Philadelphia, PA — The La Salle swimming and diving teams earned a sweep over Fordham Saturday afternoon at Kirk Pool, as both the men’s and women’s squads secured 157–143 victories in a tightly contested dual meet.
For the women, the Explorers set the tone early with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, as seniors Gabriela Herbreder and Carlota Ungo, along with sophomore Camilla Frost and senior Victoria Fenn, touched first with a time of 1:40.94. Herbreder continued her standout performance with an individual victory in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.03) and a runner-up finish in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:17.14). Ungo added a pair of wins of her own, claiming first place in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.32) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.01).
Frost contributed key points with wins in the 100-yard butterfly (55.56) and a second-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly (2:02.23). Junior Felicia Rogell earned victories in the 200-yard IM (2:04.03) and added a third-place showing in the 200-yard butterfly. The women capped the meet with another relay win in the 400-yard freestyle relay, as Celik, Herbreder, senior Rosalia Marin Martinez, and Fenn combined for a first-place time of 3:25.66.
The women’s diving team also delivered strong performances, led by sophomore Tiffany Brawn, who placed second on the 1-meter board with a score of 267.23. Freshman Lily Chandler added points with a fourth-place finish on the 1-meter and a third-place showing on the 3-meter board (270.08).
On the men’s side, La Salle opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay, as senior Tarik Gusic, sophomore AJ Wong, senior Felix Jedbratt, and junior Carter Perkins posted a winning time of 1:28.89. Perkins was dominant in the freestyle events, winning both the 200-yard free (1:39.17) and the 100-yard free (44.51). Gusic added an individual win in the 100-yard backstroke (49.60) and a second-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke.
Jedbratt continued his strong meet with wins in the 200-yard butterfly (1:45.13) and 100-yard butterfly (46.73), while freshman Blaise Hofmann claimed victories in the 200-yard backstroke (1:48.59) and the 200-yard IM (1:52.40). The men closed out the meet in emphatic fashion with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay, as Perkins, Jedbratt, freshman Ryan Powers, and Gusic combined for a first-place time of 2:59.95.
In diving, sophomore Calvin LeBlanc led the way with a second-place finish on the 1-meter board (309.45), while senior Carter Randall placed third on the 1-meter and second on the 3-meter board.
La Salle will return to action next week as the squads travel to North Jersey to take on Monmouth. The meet will start at 11 am Saturday.

Philadelphia, Pa. – (January 24, 2026) – The Fordham swimming & diving team was in Philadelphia on Saturday for a conference dual meet at La Salle, where the Rams were edged by the Explorers by a score of 157-143 in both the men’s and women’s competition.
MEN’S MEET
- The Rams had two multi-event winners on Saturday in Quinn MacPhail and David Vargas.
- MacPhail won both distance freestyle events in 9:19.09 (1000 freestyle) and 4:34.37 (500 freestyle), while Vargas took the top spot in both diving events, scoring 321.75 on the one-meter board and 365.25 on the three-meter board.
- Max Maycher won the 100 breaststroke event in 56.11 seconds with David Topi taking first in the 50 freestyle at 21.07 seconds.
- Ryan Hong placed first in the 200 breaststroke in 2:06.99.
- Kevin Yum recorded a Fordham season-best time in the 200 butterfly, taking third in 1:54.09.
WOMEN’S MEET
- Fordham had three multi-event winners on Saturday.
- Campbell Stever took first in the 1000 freestyle (10:29.77) and 500 freestyle (5:05.85), while Saskia Aikman grabbed the top spot in the sprint freestyle events in 23.56 seconds (50 free) and 50.88 seconds (100 free).
- Katie Laverty won both diving events, scoring 293.55 in the one-meter dive and 305.63 in the three-meter dive.
- Hayley Clark won the 200 butterfly event by posting a pool record and season-best time of 2:01.05.
- Ella Montgomery placed first in the 100 backstroke with a season-best time of 55.75 seconds.
- Karina Kanary recorded the Rams’ best time in the 200 backstroke this season, as she was second in 2:04.32.

- Fordham is back at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center on Saturday, January 31st, as the Rams host UMass for its Senior Day meet, beginning at noon.
