GW Sweeps Georgetown on Senior Day, Men Win 150-131; Women Edge Hoyas 141-140

WASHINGTON – GW swimming & diving completed a sweep of Georgetown on Saturday as the Revolutionaries celebrated and honored its seniors at the Smith Center. The GW men’s team emerged with a 150-131 win, while the women’s team narrowly escaped, 141-140, in a meet that came down to the final relay.

  • GW’s 200-yard medley relay kicked the meet off with a win. The winning relay consisted of Logan Watson-Brown, Natalie Sens, Isabel Sayag and Joselle Mensah (1:42.42).

  • Ava Topolewski claimed victory in the 200-yard free (1:49.94). Topolewski later bested the field in the 50-yard free (23.66), finishing just before Sens (23.72) in second, before picking up her third victory of the meet in the 500-yard free (4:51.81).

  • Mensah (1:04.35) and Julia Gomez Carpi (1:05.43) finished atop the 100-yard breaststroke.

  • Dara Reyblat (286.65) and Olivia Paquette (267.53) finished in first and second place in the 1-meter dive, respectively. In the 3-meter, Paquette (309.53) finished in first while Reyblat took second (259.50).

  • To clinch the meet, the women’s 200-yard freestyle relay had to finish in first which they did, edging the Hoyas by 0.2 seconds. The relay was completed in 1:32.55, and was swam by Mensah, Colleen MacWilliams, Sens and Topolewski.

GW will head to University Park, Pa., to face Penn State in GW’s final dual meet of the 2025-26 season on Saturday, Jan. 31.
