BOCA RATON, Fla – The Florida Atlantic men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams hosted its annual FAU Fun Invite at the FAU Aquatic Center on Saturday morning.

Facing off against Old Dominion and Rice, the Owls closed out the calendar year of 2025 with their traditional non-scoring meet that features unique events.

Women

  • In her heat, Viktoria Sorensen earned the win in the 50 back with a time of 31.85. Bilu Bianchi then took the second heat at 30.18.
  • Talitha McEwan won her heat of 10 swimmers in the 50 free (24.82).
  • Sorensen came in second place in her heat in the 100 IM reverse (1:02.18), while McEwan was second in her own heat with a time of 1:00.83.
  • Megan Drover-Smith logged second place in the 50 fly.
  • The women’s 400 medley relay IM team of Presley Staretz, Bianchi, Lotta Schulze, and Ella Freeman finished third (4:06.55).

Men

ON DECK
The Owls will return to the pool at the FAU Aquatic Center on Friday, Jan. 9 at 10 a.m., where the women’s team will face North Texas. The full squad will next compete on Saturday, Jan. 17, hosting Senior Day against St. Thomas.

BOCA RATON, Fla. — The Rice swim and dive team closed out 2025 at the FAU Fun Invite, competing against Florida Atlantic and Old Dominion.

The unscored meet marked Rice’s final competition of the year and wrapped up the Owls’ training week in Florida ahead of the new year.

Rice swept all relay events, finishing first in the 100-yard medley, 200 freestyle, 300 freestyle and 400 medley relays.

The Owls’ divers also swept the podium in the 1-meter event, led by Antonina Harned in first place, followed by Morgan Robson and Rylee Coyne.

Rice posted nine individual event victories in the pool. Lily Archibald won both the 100 butterfly (55.70) and the 50 butterfly (25.03). Lily Cramer added two first-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.48) and the 100 reverse IM (1:00.07).

Additional individual wins came from Ella DysonMia Fildissis, Neta Ussiskin and Ava Hamblett.

The Owls return to action at home Jan. 10 for the Double Up Meet.
