- Friday, November 28th – Sunday, November 20th
- 2nd World War Memorial (Southside) Pool, Wandal, Queensland, Australia
- LCM (50m)
- Results: Meet Mobile – 2025 Rocky City Twilight Meet
With December’s Queensland Championships on the horizon and the ‘Australia vs The World’ meet happening a day after that, multiple top-tier Australian athletes are competing this weekend at the Rocky City Swimming Club Twilight Meet.
Among them is 22-year-old Olympian Sam Short, with the World Championships multi-medalist reaping gold in the men’s 200m free.
Short stopped the clock at 1:47.80 to hold a healthy advantage over a pair of South Korean swimmers who captured the minor medals.
Lee Hojoon was next to the wall in 1:48.66 and teammate Junwoo Kim earned bronze in 1:49.46.
The men’s 50m free saw Korean Yang Jaehoon get the job done for gold, registering 22.09 as the top performer.
Kim Woomin, the reigning Olympic bronze medalist in the 400m free, was next to the wall in 22.77 followed by Tommy Neill who rounded out the podium in 22.89.
Finally, relay world record holder Meg Harris was too quick to catch in the women’s 50m free, posting the sole time of the field under the 25-second barrier.
23-year-old Harris touched in 24.48 to hold a healthy advantage over Lily Price who scored silver in 25.26 followed by Brazilian Maria Fernanda Costa who clocked 26.20 for bronze.
Harris’ outing renders her the 3rd-swiftest performer in the world this season.

Swimswam generously describes Meg Harris as “Aussie Olympian”
Facts:
She has 50 free Olympics silver
She is the current 50 free World Champion and previously in 2022 won bronze in 50 free worlds.
She has in total Olympics 2 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze
She has in total World Championship 6 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze.
That would be a lot to put into a headline, don’t you think?
Just call her world champion (which would be apt in a piece about her 50 free) or maybe Olympic gold medallist. She’s more than just an Olympian.
Nice swims Megs
4×100 freestyle looks good
Congratulations to the coach who spent a considerable amount of coin
To upgrade the pool.
Shane Kingston I believe.
Rocky city swimming is a top notch
Squad.
So well done.
Meg went 52.8 in the 100 too. She’s never been that quick outside of a taper meet.
Australia’s defence of the 4×100 still has some hope.
I’m sure they’ll unearth another 1-2 52s girls by LA28
MOC, Meg, Olivia and hopefully Shayna provide a very strong base, with any of Hannah, Millie and maybe Alex P to come through. But it’s 2.5 years away and much can happen on that time.
Meg also dropped a 52.8 in the 100. Way faster than she usually is in season
Meg’s also the 50 free world champion but for reasons unknown Retta, when describing her 50 free result at this Rocky meet, refers to her as a relay world record holder? Surely her 50 free pedigree is what’s relevant when describing her 50 free performance?
