LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego showed out at their first conference meet, topping UC Davis 154 points to 132, over the 14 events held. The Triton women swept three events and earned themselves ten first place finishes, contributing to the dominate performance. The win follows a home tri-meet on Oct. 18th between Simon Fraser and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps where the Tritons defeated both teams on the men’s and women’s side.
WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
UC San Diego swept three different events.
In the 100 Breaststroke Chloe Braun placed first (59.82) followed by Hayley Gregory (1:02.67), and Clemence Choy (1:03.85). The 200 Backstroke was topped by Eva Boehlke (1:58.80), Addison Everage had the next fastest finish (2:00.55), and Sydney Niles immediately followed (2:01.80). Chloe Braun also placed first (2:13.72) in the 200 Breaststroke with Hayley Gregory following (2:17.10), and Sabrina Bennani right behind her (2:17.61).

200 Medley Relay: UCSD A (1st, 1:39.98) and UCSD B (3rd, 1:43.86)
1000 Freestyle: Sophia Bell (1st, 10:05.51) and Mia Park (3rd, 10:28.28)

The short story: UC Davis delivered several standout performances in a competitive meet against UC San Diego, highlighted by Zoe Childers’ victory in the 200-yard butterfly and Naomi Boegholm’s first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.
POOL SIDE
- Zoe Childers claimed first in the 200-yard butterfly (1:59.05) and added a runner-up finish in the 400-yard IM.
- Naomi Boegholm sprinted to a win in the 50-yard freestyle (23.16).
- Ella Ackerman earned first place in the 400-yard IM and finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle.
- McKenna Valenta won the 100-yard freestyle and placed second in the 200-yard freestyle.
- UC Davis placed second in both the 200-yard medley relay (1:43.46) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:22.79).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UC Davis opened strong in the 200-yard medley relay, with the A team finishing second in 1:43.46, followed closely by the B and C teams in fourth and fifth.
- In the 1000-yard freestyle, Ella Ackerman placed second with a steady pace, while Elsie Luisetti finished fourth (10:28.40).
- McKenna Valenta led the Aggies in the 200-yard freestyle, taking second place, while Angelina Komashko followed in third (1:50.50).
- Freshman Zoe Childers continued her impressive debut season with a decisive win in the 200-yard butterfly, clocking 1:59.05, with teammate Ellie Heit taking fifth (2:05.47).
- In sprint events, Naomi Boegholm earned the top spot in the 50-yard freestyle (23.16), and Sophi MacKay added a third-place finish.
- The Aggies dominated the 100-yard freestyle, with Valenta and MacKay finishing first and second.
- Ackerman and Childers went 1–2 in the 400-yard IM, adding another double podium for UC Davis.
- UC Davis wrapped up the meet with a strong relay performance, as the A team placed second in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:22.79) and the B team followed in third.
NEXT UP: UC Davis travels to the UTU Trailblazer Invite on Nov. 19-22 continuing their non-conference schedule.
