LSU Goes Undefeated In Quad Dual With Air Force, Denver & Wyoming

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The LSU swimming and diving team overcame the elevation and collected six dual meet victories over each of its opponents Saturday afternoon at Cadet Natatorium.

The Tiger men defeated host school Air Force by a score of 215-157, Denver, 225-147, and Wyoming, 225-147.

The LSU women bested Air Force, 219-153, Denver, 228-144, and Wyoming, 216-156.

To kick off the meet, the LSU women’s 400-medley relay squad of Zoe Carlos-Broc, Martina Bukvic, Sofia Sartori, and Anastasia Bako touched the wall first with a time of 3:43.06. The men followed up with a victory of their own. Stepan Goncharov, Volodomyr Lisovets, Caleb Ellis, and Jere Hribar took the top spot with a time of 3:13.21.

Nicole Santuliana and Bukvic notched the second spot in their respective events. Santuliana placed second in the 1000-free, coming in with a time of 10:33.33, while Bukvic came in second in the 200-IM with a time of 2:08.11.

In the 50-free, Michaela de Villiers finished second with a time of 23.26. Avery Littlefield followed in third with a time of 23.37. On the men’s side, Hribar picked up the Tigers’ first individual win of the day. The junior recorded a time of 19.64. Andrew Garon followed him in second with a time of 20.59.

LSU took the top spot again in the men’s and women’s 200-meter fly. Sartori touched the wall first for the women, recording a time of 2:02.04. Her teammate Giulia Zambelli finished right behind her in second with a time of 2:03.35. For the men, Ellis placed first in the event, clocking a time of 1:51.85. Jacob Pishko came in at 1:54.06, good for third place.

Carlos-Broc kept the winning ways going for the Tigers, taking the top spot in the 100 back with a time of 54.88. Goncharov followed with a victory for the men, putting together a time of 48:04.

In the 100 breast, Bukvic added her second individual win of the meet. The freshman recorded a time of 1:03.09. Sabrina Lyn finished third in the race with a time of 1:04.19. On the men’s side, Lisovets was able to claim second, coming in at 55.10.

Jovan Lekic dominated in the 200-free, posting a time of 1:39.66 and ousting the competition by over two seconds. Megan Barnes came in at 1:52.57, good for second place in the women’s race.

In the meet’s final event – the 200-free relay – the Tigers touched the wall first in the women’s race and second and third in the men’s. The women’s squad of de Villiers, Carlos-Broc, Avery Littlefield, and Bako topped the competition with a time of 1:31.98. The men’s group of Albert Bouley, Garon, Ellis, Simon Meubry placed second, putting up a time of 1:22.00, while the next group of Diggory Dillingham, Hribar, Avdiu, and Karlo Percinic placed third with a time of 1:22.08.

For diving, Carson Paul won the third and final diving event of the meet on the platform. The senior put up a score of 343.70, a score meeting the NCAA Division I qualifying standard. Travis Keith placed sixth, totalling 261.50 points. Eve Nelson placed fifth for the women on the platform, scoring 187.00 points.

The Tigers will be back in action Friday, Oct. 24, for the team’s first home meet of the season. No. 14/21 LSU will face Kentucky at 11 a.m. CT in the LSU Natatorium.

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo., – Air Force women’s swimming and diving locked in a pair of dual wins over Denver (233.50-138.50) and Mountain West opponent Wyoming (235.50-136.50), while coming up short to No. 21 LSU (219-153) on Saturday morning at Cadet Natatorium.

Our team rose to the occasion this weekend, expressed head coach Colleen Murphy. Hanging in with LSU is a big confidence boost in our first dual meet of the season. Wyoming and Denver are always tough and we had great wins.

Lily Larson won the 200 free after touching the wall at 1:51.99, while Brynn Bond claimed fifth (1:54.77).

Sophomore Chloe Perkins took second on the 3-meter springboard, scoring a 278.45. Teammate Lulu Semakula finished in third place with a score of 266.85.

In the 100 breast, Naomi Furman locked in a time of 1:03.56 to place second. Behind in fourth and fifth were Maeve Linscott (1:05.27) and Reagan Kampschror (1:05.30).

Jordan Evans earned a bronze finish with a time of 2:08.62 in the 200 IM.

Distance swimmer, Abby Miller finished highest in the 1000 free for the Falcons at 10:39.84 for fourth place.

Falcons Jena Nowoswiat (2:07.62) and Natalie Doig (2:07.98) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 200 fly.

Murphy mentioned, We have been working really hard in the water and this is an extremely united team that enjoys racing and pushing each other to level up.

The Falcons will return to Cadet Natatorium on Friday October 31 for a Mountain West competition against Grand Canyon.

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo., – The Falcons earned their first pair of dual wins over Denver (220-152) and Wyoming (211-161) but fell short to No.14 LSU (215-157) on Saturday at Cadet Natatorium.

For the top spot in the 100 breast, senior Bridon Rosales touched the wall at 54.52. Fellow Falcons, Tanner Wilson (55.40) and Mack Nuval (56.62) placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

Team captain James Winterfield finished in second in the 200 IM at 1:52.16. Teammate Camden Swigart followed up in third place (1:53.37).

Winterfield also recorded a silver finish in the 200 back, clocking a time of 51.11.

The 400 medley relay team, comprised of Winterfield, Rosales, Tanner Wilson, and Keoni Li took bronze with a time of 3:20.08.

Freshman Jordan Falls logged a time of 20.63 to represent the Falcons in fourth of the 50 free.

Joe Christ managed a time of 1:42.22 to take fourth in the 200 free.

In the 200 fly, Danny Detjen earned fifth place after clocking a time of 1:55.07.

On the 1-meter springboard, Brady Nichol scored 288.80 for fourth place, while Lucas Gerten placed behind in fifth (281.15). Gerten also managed to place highest on the platform for Air Force, scoring 272.20 for fourth place.

The Falcons will return to Cadet Natatorium on Friday October 31, hosting Grand Canyon.

Saturday’s action began with the platform dive. Kaitlin Calvery turned in a 196.55 on the tower to take third, while Tatum Brasfield earned a 179.95 to finish seventh. On the men’s side, Trip Gregory finished third with a 285.55 and Colin Breuer earned fifth after a score of 266.70.

Denver’s men opened Saturday’s swimming action with a second-place finish in the 400 medley relay when the quartet of Quinn CollinsKito CampbellHamish McLellan and Tommy Hancock combined for a time of 3:19.83.

In the second distance race of the weekend, Joseph Hancock earned the middle podium spot in the men’s 1000 free, reaching the final wall in 9:36.97. Finn Holdredge took fourth for the Denver distance swimmers in a time of 9:45.36 and Max O’Neil grabbed eighth in 10:02.75.

Denver got in the win column for the first time on Saturday in the women’s 200 IM. Samantha Synsvoll won the race by six-tenths, and Lilly Zippel finished fourth with a time of 2:09.75. On the men’s side in the 200, Nico Morton grabbed fourth in 1:53.55 and Cota Clise got to the wall in sixth with a 1:54.73.

The Pioneer sprinters took the water for the second time in the weekend and Julia Saxman led the DU women with a sixth-place finish in 23.98. Denver’s men were led the in the sprint by Hamish McLellan who touched up at 20.76.

Sabrina Rachjaibun got herself back on the podium with a third-place finish in the 200 fly with her time of 2:06.31. An event later, Ali Beay continued her fast swimming in the backstroke, taking second in a time of 56.69 in the 100.

Following his relay win earlier in the day, Collins took third in the 100 back in 51.27 and Liam Simmons grabbed the fifth spot in the race with a 51.95.

Campbell got on the podium in the 100 breast with his time of 55.19 to finish third in a tight heat.

After her win in the IM several events prior, Synsvoll took fourth to lead the Denver women in the 200 free on Saturday, clocking in at 1:53.63. Dylan Mes was second on Saturday in the 200 free with his time of 1:41.80.

This weekend’s meet ended with the 200 free relay. Denver’s women’s quartet of Angie WyandIzzy Burton, Beay and Saxman combined for a time of 1:35.64 to finish in a tie with Air Force for second.

UP NEXT:
Denver’s women will be back in action next weekend for a trip to Fort Collins for a tri-meet with Colorado State and Colorado Mesa. The meet is set for 2 p.m. MT.

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. (Oct. 18, 2025) – The University of Wyoming swim and dive program finished out its Dual Meet against Air Force, Denver and LSU with 10 event victories and 18 Top 3 finishes, Saturday, at USAF Academy, Colo.

“We really stepped up on day two after a tough first day,” said Head Coach Dave Denniston.

“We had unbelievable swims from Isaac LeeJackson Kogler and a huge personal best from Raiden Harris, all while Macey Hansen continued to dominate.”

COWGIRLS
Day two at Air Force opened with the women’s 400-yard Medley Relay. The Cowgirls’ squad of freshman Raiden Harris, junior Taylor Craft, junior Sophie Nutter and junior Tara Joyce took second with an improved time of 3:47.81.

Sophomore Macey Hansen won her first 1,000-yard Freestyle race of the season with a time of 10:24.42. Freshman Isabelle Henderson followed Hasen in fifth with her finish of 10:42.56.

Harris also swam in the 50-yard Freestyle and came out with the win at 23.18. This marks Harris’ first collegiate dual meet victory. Joyce was the next finisher for Wyoming with her fourth-place time of 23.50.

Joyce added a third-place finish in the 200-yard Freestyle. She finished with a time of 1:52.80.

Senior Alicia Gonzalez took fourth in the 1-meter dive with a score of 248.50 points. In the platform, she also finished fourth, this time with a score of 194.70.

The Cowgirls beat Denver in the dual meet with a score of 188-184. However, they would fall to Air Force, 235.50-236.50, and LSU, 216-156.

COWBOYS
Junior Derek Long matched Hansen’s finish in the 1000-yard Freestyle with a victory of his own. He set a time of 9:52.69 to start the season.

Freshman Jackson Kogler picked up where he left off last night with a first-place finish in the 200-yard IM at 1:52.09

In the 50-yard Freestyle, Edward Rhoe improved with a time of 20.60 for second.

Sophomore Isaac Lee took second in the 200-yard Butterfly with a time of 1:53.60 while junior Adam Pannell touched the wall fourth in 1:54.29.

Junior Simon Casey finished third in the 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:42.21.

In the 200-yard Freestyle Relay, the Cowboy squad of freshman Jack Boysen, Casey, Rhoe and sophomore Luke O’Connor took first with a time of 1:21.69.

In the platform dive, sophomore Jonah Mann picked up second place with a score of 286.05.

While the Cowboys took some big victories over some SEC opponents, they would fall to all three teams. Against Air Force, 211-161, Denver, 189-183, and LSU, 225-147.

Swim and dive will take the show on the road in a Wyoming outreach meet when they host Utah at 2 p.m. MT, Oct. 24, in Green River, Wyo.
