Gretchen Walsh and Kate Douglass have both swept their 3 main individual events at both stops of the 2025 World Cup so far. For Douglass, that has been the 100/200 Breast and 100 Free, while for Walsh, that has been the 50/100 Fly and 100 IM. Being hyper versatile, both athletes have had the luxury of catering their lineups around the World Cup event schedule and seen success heading into the last stop in Toronto.
HOW TO WATCH THE WORLD AQUATICS WORLD CUP
A comprehensive look at television and streaming options for the meet can be found here.
U.S. viewers can watch both prelims and finals on the USA Swimming Network and Peacock, Canadians can stream every session on CBC, and the source for the majority of European nations will be the Eurovision Sport platform.
The competition will also be streamed live and on-demand with the World Aquatics Recast channel. A three-day pass requires 590 credits, which costs $8.26 USD.

I want to see them both swim off events. Like weird off events.
I begged for years for one of them to swim the mile just to see…
I think a 200 IM battle with both of them fresh would be epic.
Kate would win .
Kate Douglass is the World Record holder in the W 200 IM (SCM).
I’d love to see both do a 200 free for a change just to see what they could go. Kate does well in 200 IM and 200 breast; Gretchen went 1:39 in yards.
After doing a 200 breaststroke💪. Would like to see both of them compete in the 200 IM. Walsh has advantage in UWs and KD is better overall swimmer- except backstroke.
how do you see KD better than GW in butterfly?
Gretchen is an overall better sprinter. Kate has the better mid distance speed. G would give K a good race in the 2 IM. it I have kate winning
they could probably do a wheel of events. That would be cool.
The 50 back should give us a good crown buster opportunity. Kaylee was slower in Westmont than she was in Carmel and barely beat Gretchen, but I think Gretchen has more to give too and she had not competed in backstroke in a while.
Gretchen Walsh could have “spiced things up” with the addition of the W 100 FR to her event lineup.
