Kaylee McKeown on World Cup: “The last time I was in America I was like 12 years old”

2025 SWIMMING WORLD CUP – CARMEL

She may be jetlagged, but her pedigree still shines through. At the first stop of the World Cup, Kylee McKeown scared the 50 back World Record, winning in 25.4. After the race, she spoke with media about racing in the US for the first time in over a decade, saying that while she is adjusting, it’s good practice for the Olympic cycle to come, which will ultimately end in LA.

HOW TO WATCH THE WORLD AQUATICS WORLD CUP

A comprehensive look at television and streaming options for the meet can be found here.

U.S. viewers can watch both prelims and finals on the USA Swimming Network and Peacock, Canadians can stream every session on CBC, and the source for the majority of European nations will be the Eurovision Sport platform.

The competition will also be streamed live and on-demand with the World Aquatics Recast channel. A three-day pass requires 590 credits, which costs $8.26 USD.

The last time I went to the US was in 2014. Wonderful experience.

But seeing what’s been happening lately, and the fact that I am Asian with who looks like a Mexican, I don’t think I will visit the USA any time soon lol.

That was not what I meant. I was trying to say that people who do not seem to care for the United States don’t need to be here. It doesn’t matter what you look like. We are a nation of immigrants (including my parents). I apologize for offending anyone.

Oh! We can do politics?

I’ve been to USA maybe 25x in my life. (Last time pre-Agent Orange.)

Not only will I avoid USA during this so-called “administration”, I will avoid it until it gives it’s collective head a shake and renounces this current era. (Which I know will likely be never.)
