Owen Von Weihe has announced he will transfer to Kenyon College for the upcoming 2025-2026 season. He spent his freshman season at Minnesota.
The North Carolina native will now travel to Gambier, Ohio to swim at Division III powerhouse Kenyon. This past February, he finished his season with Minnesota at the First Chance Meet. There he swam a lifetime best in the 100 breast with a 56.68 as well as a 2:00.05 200 breast, another best time. He also swam to a 3:59.87 in the 400 IM.
Von Weihe’s Best SCY Times Are:
- 100 breast: 56.68
- 200 breast: 2:00.05
- 400 IM: 3:56.45 (high school)
The Kenyon men finished 2nd at the 2025 NCAC Championship behind Denison and went on to finish 5th at the 2025 Division III NCAA Championships. Denison notably won the 2025 Men’s NCAA team title. Kirill Sidorko won the individual NCAA title for Kenyon in the 400 IM with a 3:48.75.
Based on his best times, Von Weihe is a big pick up at the conference level. His best times would have been 3rd in the 200 breast, 4th in the 400 IM, and 8th in the 100 breast. He would have been the highest finisher for Kenyon in the 200 breast at NCACs.
He is also just off what it took to make NCAAs this past season as the cutline was a 54.62 in the 100 breast, 1:59.76 in the 200 breast, and a 3:55.79 in the 400 IM. The cutline fell on line 16, so most swimmers who earned an “invite” were able to score in their respective invited events. Rising junior Noel Tumbasz led the team’s breaststroke group this past season with a 54.49 100 breast and a 1:58.83 200 breast.

54.62 was the 2024 cutline for 100BR, 54.46/1:59.71 100/200BR for 2025.
please get Jeff back and let Kelly retire
Those breast stroke times are fast.
I wish him the best at Kenyon.
