BOTR Ranked Recruit And Summer Juniors ‘A’ Finalist Hayden Meyers Headed To Georgia (2025)

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Hayden Meyers from Cincinnati, Ohio has announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic careers at Georgia beginning in fall 2025. Meyers is a “Best of the Rest” ranked recruit in the boys high school class of 2025.

“After a long process with a lot of consideration, I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Georgia. This opportunity would not have been possible without the support from my family, friends, coaches, and the University of Georgia. I am looking forward to all the years and memories ahead as a bulldog. GO DAWGS “

Meyers swims for Mason Manta Rays out of Mason, Ohio. He most recently competed at Summer Juniors and had numerous ‘A’ final swims. Among those swims were a 6th place finish in the 50 back (26.07, lifetime best) and a 4th place finish in the 200 back in a 2:01.61. His lifetime best in the 200 back is a 2:01.27 that he swam for 25th at US Summer Nationals back in June.

He just finished his senior year at Turpin High School. He captured the Ohio Division I State title in the 100 back as well as 200 IM. He swam personal best times in both with a 47.37 100 back and a 1:49.51 200 IM.

Meyers’ Best SCY Times Are:

  • 100 back: 47.37
  • 200 back: 1:42.46
  • 200 IM: 1:49.51
  • 200 free: 1:40.42

The Georgia men finished 4th out of 15 teams at the 2025 SEC Championships. Luca Urlando led the way with 84 points including an SEC title in the 200 fly.

Based on his best times, Meyers would already make the SEC ‘C’ final in the 200 back as it took a 1:42.96 to make the ‘C’ final and a 1:42.04 to make the ‘B’ final. He is about half a second what it took to make it back in the 100 back as it took a 46.75. The 200 back was the leading event for the team on the final day of SECs this past season as they scored 64 points in the event with Ruard Van Renen leading the way with a 4th place finish in a 1:39.92.

Meyers will arrive this fall as a member of the class of 2029 along with Tyler Grafmiller, Finn Wedland, Luke Sandberg, Sascha Macht, Finn Hammer, Sean Green, and Jayson Ross. Green is the #9 ranked recruit in the class and specializes in distance free.
