Michael Geh Drops Two Events For Prelims On Day 4 In Irvine At Summer Juniors

Highlighting scratches for Saturday morning is Michael Geh. Geh has scratched two events for prelims, in favor of the 100 back where he is the #10 seed. He has dropped the 50 fly and 200 free from his schedule. He was the #8 seed in the 50 fly with a 54.51 100 fly entry time and the #19 seed in the 200 free with an entry time of a 1:52.16.

Geh has had his highest finish this meet so far come in the 200 back where he was 6th in a 2:02.40, just off his entry time of a 2:02.17. He also was 18th in the 50 back and 30th in the 100 free.

Also dropping the 50 fly is #24 seed Andrew Coombs who had an entry of a 55.13. He will instead focus on the 200 free where he is the #12 seed with a 1:51.33 entry. He notably split a 1:51.02 off a flying start for King Aquatic Club’s boys 800 free relay.

The girls side features two scratches. #16 seeded Jada Duncan has scratched the 100 back. She had an entry time of a 1:02.74. She is the #3 seed in the 50 fly with a 59.56 entry time. Duncan finished 4th in the 100 fly last night in a 1:00.06.

Also scratching on the girls side is Brynn Laviegueur who was the #24 seed in the 200 free with a 2:03.11. She instead focuses on the 100 back where she is the #5 seed with a 1:01.66. Laviegueur won the 50 back on night one.
