The March 12th report by Braden Keith, Can I Get a Streamline? Ande Rasmussen Streamlines 25 Yards With No Kick, sparked a lot of interest in an old event that was ultimately dropped from the Olympic Games schedule, the standing plunge.

Pawel Korzeniowski, 2005 FINA World Champion in the 200 butterfly, takes it to a new level, going 25 meters in 1:04.32.  If you can top it, send us the video.

I have no video to prove this, but if I’m lyin’ I’m dyin’…

I watch Latvian NTer Val Kalmikovs go 25 yards FROM A PUSH at Nebraska’s Devaney Center (max depth is about 8 feet in the middle) from a normal/standard push-off depth in 1999.
