Vivienne Zangaro Climbs 13-14 NAG Rankings With 4:14.34 400 Free, #20 All-Time

2024 NCSA SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS

14 year old Vivienne Zangaro posted a huge personal best en route to a win in the girls 400 free at NCSAs. Zangaro swam a final time of a 4:14.34, faster than her old best time of a 4:20.21 that she swam just two weeks ago.

She has now dropped about 25 seconds in the event in the last year as her best time last summer was a 4:39.88. Her swim tonight also propels her up the national age group rankings for the US to now sit at #20 all-time. She cruised to the win as well, winning by almost three seconds.

Charlotte Crush continued to put on a show this week, winning the 100 fly in a 58.45, a best time by 0.01. Crush was 13th in the event at US Olympic Trials in semifinals in a 58.46, her old best time. Taylor Bacher was 2nd tonight in a 1:00.79, just off her best of a 1:00.77.

Hanna Schmidt won the girls 200 breast in a 2:31.77, about half a second off her best time of 2:31.25 that she swam to win the event here a year ago. Angela Kadoorie was 2nd in a 2:32.18, a best time by almost two seconds. 

After winning the 200 fly in a best time last night, Sean Green earned another win here. He won the 400 free in a 3:51.62, about a second off his time from US Trials as he swam a best time of a 3:50.55 for 11th then. It took a 3:48.63 to earn a spot in the final.

Enzo Solitario swam to a win in the 100 fly setting a new meet record in the process. The Wisconsin commit posted a 53.69, just off his best time of a 53.37 from the beginning of June. He notably was faster than his time of a 54.77 that he swam for 61st at US Trials.
