(NLI Photos) Florida’s Lake Highland Prep has two sign NLIs

Florida private school Lake Highland Prep had two swimmers sign National Letters of Intent. Alex Pena will swim for Duke and Riley Springman for Brown. The two pose above at the school’s signing ceremony with basketball signee Joel Berry.

Pena, on the left in the above photo, is a distance freestyler who should help Duke with top 500/1000/1650 times of 4:30.74, 9:19.78, and 15:36.27. He was fourth in two events at Florida’s class 1A high school state meet last weekend.

Springman, right, is an IMer/butterflier. His top times are 1:52.4 in the 200 IM, 3:59.9 in the 400 IM and 1:51.52 in the 200 fly. He’s also experienced in long course swimming and should be an early contributor for Brown University.
