FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Guess who?

After winning a pair of events over the weekend at the AFA Winter Invitational and helping a trio of relays race to victory, Colorado State’s Lexie Trietley has been named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

It marks the fifth time this season – half of the honors for the award – the Olean, N.Y., product has been named the top freshman of the week, and she’s the only competitor to have won it more than once.

Trietley still has yet to lose a race in the 100-yard freestyle in college after pacing the field with a 51.44 on Friday. She also won the 50 free in a time of 23.25, as well as placing third in the 200 free with a 1:55.86. Colorado State won all four relays competed over the two days, with Trietley swimming legs on the 200 and 400 free teams, along with the 200 medley squad.

This marks the ninth weekly honor for the Rams this season. Lucy Matheson has been named swimmer of the week three times (the only swimmer in the conference to win it multiple times), while Erin Dawson has won it once.

Colorado State concludes the regular season in the lanes this weekend with a Friday dual at Northern Colorado (5 p.m.) with a 7-0-1 mark on the season and unbeaten in 22 consecutive duals. The divers will compete at the AFA Invitational Feb. 2-4 in advance of the Mountain West Championships in Houston beginning Feb. 15.
