Jake Riva, a current high school senior from Newton, New Jersey, has committed to swim for Division I United States Military Academy at West Point. Riva will graduate from Kittatinny Regional High School in spring 2020 and join the Black Knights’ class of 2024.
Riva is a current swimmer for the North Jersey Barracudas and is a Sectionals and Futures qualifier.

Riva’s best time in the 100 back of 50.68 is just a few tenths from the 50.27 it took to score at last year’s Patriot League Championship meet, and so with any improvement in college he should be a quick Patriot League scorer.
Army’s backstroke group is led by a pair of rising seniors, Brian McKenrick and Tyler Kim. McKenrick finished 4th in the 100 back (48.74) and 6th in the 200 back (1:47.50) at last year’s Patriot League Championship meet, while Kim was 4th in the 200 back (1:46.02).

- 100 freestyle – 46.10
- 200 freestyle – 1:41.89
- 100 backstroke – 50.68
- 200 backstroke – 1:51.32
- 100 butterfly – 50.16
- 200 IM – 1:54.33
At the ECAC Championships, Army placed 8th as a team and several Black Knights qualified for CSCAA Nationals.
