Eve Kearns Commits to DIII Washington University in St. Louis

Eve Kearns, a current high school senior from Half Moon Bay, California, has committed to swim for Division III Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Kearns will graduate from Half Moon Bay High School in spring 2020 and join the Bears’ class of 2024.

Kearns is a current swimmer for Burlingame Aquatic Club under head coach Ben Chung. She is also a CA/NV Sectionals and Futures qualifier.

At the 2020 UAA Swimming and Diving Championships with the Bears, Kearns would have placed 11th in the 200 butterfly (2:07.80) and 15th in the 100 butterfly (57.61) with her current best times.

Best SCY Times:

  • 100 butterfly – 57.61
  • 200 butterfly – 2:07.80
  • 200 IM – 2:12.19
  • 400 IM – 4:37.20

This year at the UAA Championships, the Bears placed 4th as a team. Nineteen of their athletes were given CSCAA All-American honors and 9 qualified for NCAA DIII Nationals.

Kearns will begin her swimming career at the Washington University (Missouri)  fall 2020.
