BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Vermont swimming & diving team announced tri-captains for the upcoming 2020-21 season. Rising senior Emily Murphy will captain the team for the second straight year, joined by rising senior Katie Rivers and rising junior Kira Parker.

Murphy enters her second season as captain after a stellar junior campaign. Named the team’s Athlete of the Year, Murphy earned America East All-Conference honors on the three-meter board and earned weekly conference diver of the week honors four times in 2019-20. The Greenwich, Connecticut native is a Public Communication major at UVM.

Rivers will captain the team alongside classmate Murphy after a stellar junior campaign of her own in 2019-20.
