In an independent lab testing the speed of swimming’s top technical racing suits, A3 Performance was scientifically proven to be the fastest racing suit of today’s top technology.
Global Sport Technology, directed by Dr. Genadijus Sokolovas, conducted a lab to test the speed of the latest racing technology from the top brands in the sport. LEGEND, A3 Performance’s elite technical racing suit, outperformed all other brands. A3 Performance LEGEND was scientifically proven to be the fastest suit. The test results confirmed that athletes interested in being their fastest, would be best served racing in A3 Performance.
Also tested in the lab was A3 Performance’s next generation racing technology, which proved even faster than LEGEND. The results of this lab clearly indicate A3 Performance is and will continue to be an innovative leader in competitive swimming.
Global Sport Technology, Inc. led by Dr. Genadijus Sokolovas, is considered to be the foremost authority on Sports Physiology and Product Testing worldwide. Nothing is scientifically “proven” until similar tests have been repeated by different investigators who have, among other essential characteristics, completely independent funding sources. Although obviously an adverticle (i.e. paid advertisement masquerading as reporting),the headline is an outright lie.
This is absolutely ridiculous. These studies carry no validity at all. I’ve seen 60 years worth of suits and A3 is in the bottom 5% ever. From both experience and sight test, mizuno is the fastest suit ever, hands down.
I heard they are penning a deal with UNC to provide them suits for Conference champs…they’re gonna explode in March! 🙂
I realize he has a Ph.D. from a Russian university, but has this guy every published any scientific studies? I did a PubMed search with his last name, and nothing came up, in any language. Usually sports medicine and physiology articles are posted there. I’d love to see his bibliography. This tagline of one of the “foremost authority on Sports Physiology…worldwide” has been around a while. Usually “authorities” are those who actual conduct and publish research, are active in the peer review publication process, etc. Seems like this is a promotion of not only A3, but also Global Sport Technology, Inc. Disappointing.
Wow, shots fired at finis and dolfin
I really wanna know how you test a suit being the fastest? Do you get a whole bunch of A3 athletes and have them go 19s for guys and 22s and 21s for girls then put them in speedo dragsuits and go 21s for guys and 25s for girls?
Why are all pooh poohing this with such verve? Sure, it’s paid content with exaggerated claims (alt-facts) but we’re in an era where Nike has has exited stage left, Under Armor has no interest in our sport and Arena decreased prize money for their PSS events from 1000/600/200 last year down to 500/300/100 this year. Speedo recently walked away from Australia. High performance swimming is a tough industry to gain a foothold and swimmers will figure out who makes the best tech suits. Meantime, these sponsors and their paid editorials are what helps pay for this free website.
This is not a paid advertisement! Dr. G is very credible in his facts and how he does the testing.
Please let me add to my reply. This is the same testing with Dr. G that I did when I was with another swim brand. I have worked with many different brands in my career. ( I do NOT work with with A3) I believe this is the best way to do testing.
* Dr. G is a very known scientist and he is very well respected in the swimming community. He would not change numbers around to make the testing work in his favor. Ask him and any one who knowns him.
* Please ask the other brands who does there testing… The answer will be in their own labs. They do not tell you who is doing… Read more »
@roque. I’m sure A3 has a great line of HP swimsuits and wasn’t questioning the quality of the product although “scientifically proven fastest racing suit” is quite a claim. I wish this Dr. G was able to show his work as math teachers like to say. I was being critical of all the previous commentators unloading on this company when they’re trying to break into a tough marketplace. Criticizing a swsw sponsor (which A3 is) isn’t productive especially from those of us who consume our swimming news for free from this wonderful website.
If it isn’t a paid advertisement what does”SwimSwam Partner Content mean”?
Speedo didn’t “walk out” on Swimming Australia, Swimming Aus chose to part ways with them and is now with Arena.
You can’t make a bold claim like this and not have a link to show data
Exactly, scientifically prove means reproducible and yet the article lacks the most basic details such as which suits from what tops brands? Test parameters?
also sports physiology? i am not knocking his intelligence. it would make more sense to have a CFD analysis of the suits. I don’t know many sports physiologists that have taken engineering courses
I know I am a little late to the game here, but here are my two cents.
I am sure there is only so much data that can be released for liability’s sake. The data is likely filled with brand names, suit names, etc. which is why it can’t all be released.
Dr. G and Global Sport seem totally legit. He is clearly a reputable and well-respected figure in USA Swimming. Also, it looks like A3 provides some follow up information regarding Dr. G and the lab http://ow.ly/Lfml308qnCT
