can hobson ever have a good in season race? lol
His 200 free at the USO was pretty good imo
Yeah but the Texas pros had I think 2 weeks of rest going into that meet.
that’s what you would call an “end of season” swim not an in season swim. full taper off of fall training.
Thank you
I dont see live results
I couldn’t see them on my phone, but on computer I was able to so try that
We have a Logan Walker sighting, 54.5 100 fly prelim for 8th
I am calling it right now: prelims of the 800M free at trials will have an empty lane 3 in the circle seeded heats.
Hahahaha.
Classic but you made me laugh so hard I spit coffee onto my work computer!!!
…can someone explain this…
Carson will probably be on the heat sheet for the 800m free at trials, but he almost certainly won’t swim it.
Looks like mostly TXLA intramural meet, just a sprinkling of Nitro, Waterloo and a few randos.
Very interesting to see Joanna Evans age 28(!) entered in 100/200/400 after serving a FOUR year drug suspension. That’s a long time.
She must be motivated to hang in all that time for a chance to rep Bahamas internationally again?
Curious if she is training with Carol or ? Anybody know?
I was a bit surprised Summer didnt do the 800 at this meet, considering this was the only event of the day. I guess she wants to focus on her primary events though.
He’s always had good middle distance chops. Might we see him try for the 800 in 2028?
Carson seems to be incredibly fit. Hope he blows that 4:06.56×2 out of the water
I have a feeling he will. He’s been great in the event this year
His back half is prolly pretty darn good now
tried comparing his 4:06.5s and his 4:07.0 and I think his breast/free from December is closer to his backhalf 200s on the two 4:06.5s compared to his fly/back 200. Which is interesting considering how when he was younger his signature would be to just go out fast and hold on.
It seems like he’s performing really well in his ‘off’ events, so I’m interested to see if it translates into his primary events – 400 IM/400 Fr/200 Fr/200 IM/200 Fly.
he WAS 4:07 at the US Open, so unless he gets Finked again he’ll break it at Nationals
I don’t see him going to nationals. Pan pacs is only a couple weeks afterward
Carson will hit PBs this year especially since there’s not a World Championship or Olympics
