Jasmine Harper Stays in State with Commitment to William & Mary

Virginia-based Jasmine Harper will be staying in state next season, as she’s signed her national letter of intent to join the William & Mary women in the fall of 2017. Harper is primarily a breast/IMer, but she’s also shown promise in the 100 back. Her current training base is with Nova of Virginia, and she’ll be graduating from Collegiate High School at the end of this school year.

“I decided to commit to William and Mary because of their commitment to excellence, both in and out of the pool. Even as a recruit, I felt inspired by their work ethic and pursuit of knowledge. The campus is gorgeous, the team is diverse, and I know the coaches will inspire me to continue to lower my times so I can contribute to another conference championship! William and Mary is the perfect fit for me. Go Tribe!”

Harper’s Top Times:

  • 100 breast- 1:04.65
  • 200 breast- 2:21.11
  • 200 IM- 2:09.43
  • 400 IM- 4:41.24
  • 50 free- 25.63
  • 100 back- 59.00

At William & Mary, Harper will be joining a team that just won the conference title at the 2016 Colonial Athletic Association Championships. She should have an immediate scoring impact for the team, as she’s already fast enough to have made the championship final in the 100 breast at 2016 CAAs.
