Also going to the region 1 meet is Fleming Island’s Nick Hackett, who set himself up as the top seed in the 100 fly and 200 free after winning both district titles. Hackett nearly cleared the 50 second barrier in the 100 fly, posting a 50.36 in that race. His 1:44.28 in the 200 free was also good for a district title.

Robert Finke, a junior for Countryside, leads the region 2 boys with his times in the 200 IM and 500 free. Finke’s district-winning time of 4:35.63 in the 500 free puts him as the top seed by over 7 seconds. He’ll also headline the 200 IM at his region meet with his 1:53.74.
