Aimee Canny: “I’m doing a lot more distance now… I think my speed comes from the distance I do”

Aimee Canny had quite a showing in Indianapolis this past weekend. Swimming in her first Pro Swim of the season, Canny broke South African records in the 200 Free (1:56.59) and 200 IM (2:09.99) while clocking PBs in the 100 Breast (1:05.97) and 200 Breast (2:23.61). Canny says she’s been training in the distance group at UVA this season and it has not only helped her endurance, but her speed as well.

I think a lot of swimmers and coaches haas an aneurysm hearing this!
