Breaststroker Aubrey Wing Commits To IUPUI

Duneland Swim Club’s Aubrey Wing will be representing the Jaguars next season. Wing has verbally committed to join the IUPUI women next fall after graduating from Chesterton High School. She’ll be making the move to Indianapolis from Chesterton, Indiana.

Last season, Wing was a 2-time finalist at the Indiana Girls Sectional Championships. There, she was the 100 breast champion and the 4th place finisher in the 200 IM. With her swim in the 100 breast, she qualified to swim at the state meet, where she clocked a personal best 1:05.56 to finish 17th overall.

Wing’s Top Times:

Event Best Time
100 breast 1:05.56
200 breast 2:26.50
200 IM 2:12.71
400 IM 4:44.42

When she arrives at IUPUI, Wing should have an immediate impact for the Jaguars at the Summit League Championships. Her best time in the 100 breast would’ve been just a tenth shy of making the championship final at last season’s Summit League meet, so she could be scoring top-8 points as a freshman with marginal improvements.

Additionally, Wing’s time in the 200 breast would’ve landed her in the B-final last season.
