Texas A&M vs. Georgia
Women’s Meet
The Georgia Bulldogs ultimately triumphed over the Texas A&M Aggies, 163.5-136.5, in what was a very close battle throughout the meet. Brittany Maclean and Hali Flickinger led the way for Georgia, each claiming three individual events. Maclean won the 1000 yard free (9:41.60) and the 200 free (1:47.47) back-to-back to claim the first two individual events of the meet on the women’s side. She won the 500 free later on in 4:47.47. Flickinger won the 100 back (53.46), 200 back (1:53.66), and 200 IM (1:57.22).
Beryl Gastaldello led the way for Texas A&M, winning two events (50 free and 100 fly), and finishing 2nd in the 100 free. Other event winners for Texas A&M were Jorie Caneta (100 breast), Madison Hudkins (1-meter, 3-meter diving), and Sycerika McMahon (200 breast).
Other event winners for Georgia were Megan Kingsley (200 fly) and Olivia Smoliga (100 free).
Texas A&M managed to claim the meet opening 200 medley relay 1:40.32 to 1:40.37, but had their A team disqualified in the 400 free relay, where Georgia went 1-2. Smoliga, Maclean, Flickinger, and Meaghan Raab closed off the meet winning by over seven seconds.

Men’s Meet
The Georgia men rolled over Texas A&M, 178-122, who are now 1-1 for the week after taking out Missouri State yesterday. Georgia had contributions across the board, with Kevin Litherland (200 free, 500 free) the only double event winner. Matias Koski won the 1000 free and was 2nd in the 50 free, and Gunnar Bentz won the 100 free and was 2nd in the 200 IM.
Other winners for Georgia were Taylor Dale (100 back), Colin Monaghan (100 breast), Mick Litherland (200 fly), Michael Trice (50 free), Pace Clark (200 fly), and Tynan Stewart (200 IM).
Sam Thornton of Texas A&M claimed both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, and Mauro Castillo Luna claimed the 200 breast. He also initially won the 100 breaststroke before being disqualified. Brock Bonetti was the other winner for the Aggies, taking the 200 backstroke in 1:45.02.
Georgia also won both the 200 medley and 400 free relays.
