The coach now responsible for guiding Team USA’s future Olympic success will open the sport’s largest coaching education event this fall. USA Swimming National Team Director Greg Meehan has been announced as the opening night keynote speaker for the 2026 ASCA World Clinic Presented by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps, set for September 9–12 in Orlando.
Meehan joins an impressive lineup that includes Bill Dorenkott, David Marsh, Russell Mark, Jonty Skinner, Kim Brackin, Mike DeBoor, Gregg Troy, Leah Stancil, Laura Mitchell and more than 40 additional speakers.
Complete event information, registration details, and the growing speaker lineup can be found at www.ascaworldclinic.com.
Prior to accepting the national leadership role in Spring 2025, Meehan spent 13 seasons at Stanford University, where he guided the Cardinal women to three NCAA team championships and coached numerous Olympic and World Championship medalists, including Katie Ledecky, Simone Manuel, and Torri Huske. He also served as the Women’s Head Coach for Team USA at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
The 2026 World Clinic theme, “Grassroots to Podium: It Starts With Us,” highlights the critical role coaches play at every stage of athlete development—from introducing young swimmers to the sport to guiding athletes to collegiate, international, and Olympic success.
The 2026 ASCA World Clinic will feature more than 60 educational and networking sessions covering various aspects of the sport. Here is a sampling of the dozens of presentations offered throughout the four-day clinic:
