Dominant ASU Relay Members Joke in Media Room, Look Ahead to What’s Next After NCAA Careers

2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships

The ASU men put on a relay clinic this year, winning 4-of-5 relays (both 200 and 400 distances), the first time a men’s team has done so since 2017. After winning the final event of the meet, the 400 free relay, the members of the team spoke to the media about what a special season this has been and what their futures look like moving forward.

These guys get it, and *it* exists up and down the entire stack. Props to them. Swimming is a helluva sport, and sometimes the bonds are just as important as the times.

Remi Fabiani is Ross Geller in elite swimmer form. Would not surprise me if his wife was a young Jennifer Aniston. 😂

A bronze medal in the M 4 x 100 FR-R at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships doesn’t cut it.

what is wrong with you? pathetic. My man picked himself up and got back into the fight. and will no doubt be back in the LCM game soon… “my hobby and not my identity” clearly not the case for you, sad.

Kulow graduated with a 4.0 in microbiology and is a National Team member + multiple-time NCAA champion. I don’t think he’ll have any issues applying to medical schools.

He said in this interview he’s actually going to apply to flight schools. That’s a very interesting switch in career focus

Your joke is 15-20 years out of date. ASU has massively improved their academics since their current president started at the school

“massively improved” from dog water to cow shit

Again, you have no idea what you’re talking about. This is a talking point that is 15-20 years out of date.

The current President is an incredible person and truly cares about academics and opportunities for students. If you ever get the chance to listen to an interview with him he’s a great listen.
Obviously the partying reputation still exists but the school has really stepped it up and it’s set to be a truly foundational university in the next couple of decades if his plans come to fruition.

Yeah he loves to say all that, as if it justifies raising the tuition every year and how he appeared in the filles over 3000 times

Literally every university in America raises tuition nearly every year.

His mentions in the files are in failed attempts to set up meetings, and Epstein disparaging ASU. And discussions from Krauss about funding. Yeesh, you just spout false talking points and are so sure of yourself. Actually look things up before you spout nonsense.

It is amazing how many commenters don’t let total ignorance on a subject prevent them from proving their status.

ASU swimming has won the last three men’s Elite 90 awards and one women’s Elite 90 in that time. Prestigious academic award among NCAA athletes, including Stanford, Harvard and the like.

Legendary squad. Love seeing this team perform on relays, fingers crossed for next year’s ASU group. Maybe some new guys drop a ton of time!

I wonder if Chaney knows something we don’t…

Kinda surprised he’s not gonna go 2 years as a pro. he’s been 47 off a relay start before, his 50 and 100 back in LCM are no joke. weird

The Josh thing is like an inside joke but if I had to guess I don’t think Adam likes long course nearly as much. He’s a beast in the short pool due to his underwaters

Yeah Josh said in his own interview he’s wanting to stay at Florida, so imagine it’s an inside joke. With how competitive things are now he’d have to level up a bit to be in consideration to make a team, so I can understand calling it quits now while on top

Adam is CURRENTLY on the USA Swimming National Team based on LCM performance.

If he was going to be a contributor to the international stage he would have shown it by now. Hes 24 and has never represented the team. Its time to move on for him

with how thin the us backstroke ranks are id say theres plenty of room for him to make the team should he so choose to keep swimming

Yes, as said above, USA is pretty thin on backstroke. He’s dropped time this year in SCY. I think he should go to Nationals and at least see what he can do.
