I can’t wait to be a part of such an amazing team! GO ‘GATE!

Top SCY Times:

  • 50 Freestyle: 23.90
  • 100 Freestyle: 52.17
  • 100 Backstroke: 59.05

Durham is from Asheville, North Carolina, where she attends Asheville School and trains year-round with Blues Aquatics. She’s a sprint specialist, strong in the 50 and 100 free as well as the 100 back.

Through her first three years of high school, Durham has qualified for the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA) Division II State Championships each year. As a freshman, she placed third in both the 50 free (25.28) and 100 free (54.82). As a sophomore, she finished runner-up in the 100 free (55.11) and third in the 50 free (24.72). Last year, she won the 50 free title (24.31) and took bronze in the 100 free (54.43).

She had a big breakthrough last season, dropping from 24.70 to 23.90 in the 50 free, 54.18 to 53.00 in the 100 free, 1:01.37 to 59.05 in the 100 back. Her best meet of the season was the Speedo Sectionals in March, where she placed 13th in the 50 free and 31st in the 100 back with those PBs. Her 100 free time was set at the ISCA Senior Cup at the end of the month, where she touched the wall third in the 50 free (23.91), ninth in the 100 free, and 10th in the 100 back (1:01.21).

Though it’s early in her senior year, she has already dropped nearly a full second in the 100 free, going 52.17 at the Big Southern Classic earlier this month. She also went a near best time of 24.07 in the 50 free, and clocked 1:02.56 in the 100 back.

A Division I Mid-Major program, Colgate competes in the Patriot League, with the women’s team placing eighth out of 10 teams at the Patriot League Championships last season. At the 2025 conference meet, it took times of 24.05 and 52.28 in the sprint freestyles and 57.70 in the 100 back. Based on these results, Durham would have made the ‘C’ final in both freestyle events, while her 100 back time would have fallen 1.35 seconds short of the cutoff.

On Colgate’s team itself, Durham would have ranked fourth in the sprint freestyles and sixth in the 100 back. She will overlap one season with Lucy Art, who led the team last year with times of 22.99 and 50.19, and one season with MG King, the team’s fastest backstroker with a time of 54.87.

The full list of recruits currently set to join Durham in the pool next fall includes Alex ScimeMarin BenoitJessie WolfHailey Hammond and Amelia Starr, who should all make for strong training partners over the next four years.
