2016 Women’s NCAA Updated Team Score Predictions: Day 2 Finals

2016 Women’s NCAA Championships

An early look at the psych sheet for 2016 Women’s NCAAs would’ve pegged defending champion California as the winner, but given the first day and half of competition, the margin for a Bears victory is tightening. Stanford’s disqualification in the 200 free relay hasn’t negatively affected their overall standings, however, it just makes it that much harder to fend off the Bears. Speaking of the Bears, they haven’t performed as expected and it leaves them right in the middle between Stanford and Georgia. The Bulldogs jumped out to first with yesterday’s winning 800 free relay and with big finishes in the 50 and 500 frees, they’ve narrowed the gap between them and the top-two.

The score predictions below, courtesy of Price Fishback, gives insight into which teams are performing well or poorly when compared to their psych sheet entries.

That Stanford’s DQ on 200 Free Relay is costly! Might cause them the title.
