LOUDONVILLE, NY – Junior Mea Amedio rewrote the pool record book in the 100-yard individual medley, junior GayLynn Kirn won two individual events and was a part of another relay-winning team and Claire Donlon, Sydney Murray and Bette Sherr-Garcia set personal records in the three-meter diving event as the Siena Swimming and Dive Team swam past visiting Stonehill 191-81 at the Siena Swim Center on Saturday afternoon.
Kirn won the 100-yard backstroke in 59.21, was a member of the 200-yard backstroke relay that finished first in 1:47.68 and also took first place in the 200-yard freestyle event on the afternoon.
Amedio shined in the 100-yard individual medley, finishing in 59.96, nearly a full second faster than the pool record.
Teammate Clara Samko also touched the wall in a faster than record pace, clocking in at 1.00.36 to take the runners up spot.
The three-meter diving event lent itself to a day of personal records as Donlon scored 283.10 points in a first-place finish, Murray was second with a score of 240.10 and Sherr-Garcia placed third with a tally of 204.60 points.
Donlon doubled as a two-time diving winner by also taking first in the one-meter event with a score of 236.45 points.
Freshman Skylar Ricard had a strong outing, stretching out for distance by winning the 500-yard freestyle in 5:14.37.
Clara Samko, Leslie Dame, Hope Ivanovich and Gabrielle Rentosa secured a victory in the 200-yard butterfly relay in 1:45.35.
The 200-yard backstroke relay was also won by the Saints in 1:47.68 behind the team of Rentosa, Kirn, Amedio and Carsyn Ide.
Siena’s 200-yard breast stroke relay team of Kayla Lombardo, Alice Scalmani, Clara Samko and Leslie Dame edged out the Stonehill “A” squad in 2:08.35 by 55 tenths of a second.
Siena continued to dominate the relay events by also taking the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:41.02 with the team of Natalie Blume, Kaci Owens, Ricard and Kirn.
Julia Mihok was victorious in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.41 while Ivanovich was the top finisher in the 100-yard butterfly in 58.67.
Siena (4-7) will return to competition next Saturday at Vermont at 1 p.m. The meet can be viewed on AmericaEast.tv.

LOUDONVILLE N.Y. (Jan. 17, 2026) – The Stonehill swimming & diving team faced Siena on Saturday afternoon, with the Saints taking a 191-81 victory at the Siena Swim Center.
The Skyhawks move to 3-5 in dual meets, while Siena stands at 4-7.
The 200 medley relay of sophomore Elizabeth Weston, sophomore Lily Peterson, junior Grace Idowu and senior Kristy Barry took the top time with a collective mark of 1:49.23. Idowu also won the 50 free in 24.32 and the 100 free in 52.77.
Peterson took second in the 100 breaststroke, touching the wall in 1:07.68, and freshman Emma Richards placed second in the 100 butterfly (59.54). In the 100 backstroke, Weston nearly took first, placing second in 59.31, just 0.1 second behind the winner.
Barry was third in the 100 freestyle (54.63) and the 100 IM (1:00.96).
Sophomore Molly Clifford placed third in the 1-meter dive, scoring 196.65.

Stonehill (3-5) will visit Merrimack (3-6) for the first two of back-to-back matchups with the Warriors on Friday, Jan. 23 at 4 p.m.
