For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Isabel Baley from Midland, Texas has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Tennessee beginning in fall 2026. She is the #1 ranked diving recruit in the high school class of 2026. She flips her commitment after previously committing to Texas at the start of the summer.

Baley competes for the City of Midland. In July, she finished 4th in the 1 meter at USA Junior Nationals scoring a total of 354.30 points. She also was 13th in the 3m event with 363.60 points.

The Tennessee women finished 5th at the 2025 NCAA Championships. The team was led by Josephine Fuller who scored 33 individual points but graduated in May. The team’s top returning scorer is Camille Spink who primarily specializes in sprint free. Tennessee had no divers at 2025 NCAAs.

Tennessee hired Jane Figueiredo in April as the program’s next diving coach after Dave Parrington retired. Figueiredo most recently spent time with Aquatics GB, where she coached Tom Daley to Olympic gold. The Vols just competed against Texas in a dual meet and Lynae Shorter was 2nd in the 3 meter while Desharne Bent-Ashmeil was 2nd in the 1 meter event. Both finished 2nd behind Bayleigh Cranford of Texas who was one of the top divers in the NCAA this past season, scoring in all three events at 2025 NCAAs.

The girls high school class of 2026 is loaded for Tennessee. Among the top 20 swimming recruits are #1 ranked Charlotte Crush, #4 ranked Molly Sweeney, #16 Eliza Wallace, and BOTR Mia Buff.

Yes Tennessee is very smart. Applying NIL Big Bucks where they can most help. Recruiting the heck out of the globe. Coaching the teams better than any other program. Enjoying how a Texas supporter is upset the real UT is grabbing hold of the future! If it was not for fighting men from Tennessee, there would be no Texas…just Northern Mexico!

I did. They weren’t interested anymore once I told them I planned on actually dropping time from my conference meet to NCAAs.

Hiring Jane as the diving coach was huge for Tennessee. She is absolutely one of the most respected coaches around, as is Matt at Texas. It was really good to see her yesterday.
