Thomas Ceccon Scratches 50 Fly Final (Night 3 Toronto Scratches)

2025 WORLD AQUATICS SWIMMING WORLD CUP – Toronto

Day 3 Finals Start List

Italy’s Thomas Ceccon has scratched the 50 butterfly on the last night of the 2025 Swimming World Cup in Toronto.

He was the 5th qualifier out of the prelims. He did not swim the event in Westmont, but in Carmel, he finished 3rd overall at 22.36. Ilya Kharun will be hunting the Triple Crown in tonight’s final. His scratch allows Luke Barr into the event in lane 8.

Ceccon is still entered in the men’s 200 freestyle, where he is the 6th overall seed at 1:42.50. This will be his first time swimming the event at one of the World Cup stops.

Phoebe Bacon was the only other scratch with her scratch out of the 200 IM final, where she was the 6th seed. Mio Narita will take her place.

She will still be in the 200 backstroke final, where she qualified 4th out of the prelims with her time of 2:04.29. She will be hoping to bust Kaylee McKeown‘s Triple Crown in the event, swimming next to her in lane six.

Her highest finish in the event comes from her 4th overall spot at the Westmont at 2:02.13.
