Utah Divers To Compete At Air Force Invitational This Weekend

SALT LAKE CITY- The University of Utah diving team will compete in the Air Force Diving Invitational this weekend, Feb. 5-6 at the Cadet Natatorium in Colorado Springs, Colo. The meets are set to begin on both days at 9 a.m. MT.

“This has been a great meet for us the past several years against some quality competition from within our zone,” said Utah head diving coach Richard Marschner. “The men’s team has won six of the nine events the past three years with Jacob Crayne accounting for three of those wins. Amanda Casillas has always fared well here too as she set her personal best score on three-meter last year.  We’re really hoping to qualify a few more athletes to NCAA Regional Zone at this meet as it is our last major event before we head into Pac-12s.”

COMPETING TEAMS

There will be 12 teams competing this weekend. Along with Utah, other competing teams include Air Force, Texas A&m, Wyoming, Boise State, New Mexico State, BYU, San Diego State, Denver, New Mexico, Norther Colorado and Nevada.
