UNLV Closes Out Dual Meet Season at Home

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams close out their 2015-16 dual meet schedule this weekend, with a home meet against the Pacific men on Friday, followed by action against Nevada, Reno (women) and Wyoming on Saturday at 12 pm, in what will also be Senior Day for the Rebels. Both meets will be held in Buchanan Natatorium.
In the meet on Saturday against UNR and Wyoming, the Rebel squad will be wearing purple caps to promote Pancreatic Cancer Awareness. In addition, representatives from the Las Vegas Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will be at the meet distributing information regarding research and early detection. Pancreatic Cancer Awareness has been a season long cause of the team, as the Rebels also volunteered during Purple Light at the District in Henderson last fall during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month.
