WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW captured 17 first-place finishes and closed out its home schedule for the 2025-26 season with a sweep of both William & Mary and Queens University on Saturday at the Allen Natatorium.

Men: UNCW 213, William & Mary 80 | UNCW 172.5, Queens 126.5
Women: UNCW 149, William & Mary 144 | UCW 172, Queens 121

The Seahawk women won the 200 free relay in 1:32.33 to secure victory over William & Mary at the end of the meet.

Wilson Tuttle and William Carrico headed up the Seahawk men, both winning a pair of events. Tuttle took gold in the 1000 (9:13.19) and 500 Free (4:30.67) while Carrico touched the wall with winning times in the 200 Backstroke (1:58.83) and the 200 IM (1:48.00).

Cameron Snowden added wins for the Seahawk women in the 50 Free (22.97) and 100 Fly (52.91).

On the boards, Makenna Sharpe finished first on both the 1 and 3-meter boards with 266.25 and 280.85 points, respectively.

Tyler Hoard won the men’s 1-meter (316.95) for UNCW.

Other event winners included Nathan Jao (200 Free), Jack VanHowe (100 Back), Mason Hetzel (100 Breast), Andy Commins (200 Fly), Alex Tysinger (100 Free), Maeren McGonigal (200 Back), men’s 200 Medley and the women’s 200 Free Relays.

The Seahawks return to the pool on Nov. 20-23 at the Fall Frenzy Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.

WILMINGTON, N.C. — William & Mary swimming broke five program dual meet records in a banner day at the David B. Allen Natatorium in Wilmington on Saturday. The Tribe also had four event victories during the meet.

Leading the way was Julie Addison, who set a pair individual records in the 100 back (54.15) and 200 back (1:59.72). Her first-place performance in the 100 back was a personal record and ranks second-fastest in program history.

Addison was also part of the winning 200 medley relay team that posted a Tribe dual record time of 1:39.25, along with her teammates Lindsay Juhlin, Lauren Klinefelter, and Caroline Burgeson. That result stands as third-fastest all-time.

In the 100 breast, Juhlin delivered a record-breaking time of 1:01.04, the sixth-fastest individual performance ever and nearly equaling her personal best set at the 2025 CAA Championships (1:00.91) as she placed first.

Sophia Heilen was also victorious in the 200 breast, finishing in 2:15.56.

On the men’s side, Aiden Bond clocked in at 1:37.47 to place third in the 200 free, earning the Green & Gold another dual record.

TEAM RESULTS
The women’s team picked up a win over Queens by a final score of 137.5-123.5 while falling to UNCW 149-144. The men’s team dropped both of its dual matches.

UP NEXT
W&M will return home next Saturday, Nov. 8 for Senior Day as it hosts George Mason at the Bee McLeod Recreation Center. The meet will get underway at noon.

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte swimming programs turned in another strong performance on Saturday at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, facing off against the host Seahawks and William & Mary in a competitive tri-meet.

The Royals’ men’s team picked up a dual win over William & Mary, 205–82, while falling narrowly to UNCW, 172.5–126.5. On the women’s side, Queens totaled 123.5 points against William & Mary (falling 137.5–123.5) and scored 121 points against UNCW (172–121).

MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
Queens was led by Daniel Meszaros, who delivered a standout swim in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking a 43.76 to set a new pool record at UNCW. The senior also added a fourth-place finish in the 200 free with a 1:38.04.

Nien Levy and Stamatis Paleocrassas dominated the 50 free with a 1-2 finish, touching in 20.13 and 20.25, respectively, while Emil Harlem added a victory in the 100 fly (47.57).

In the 200 medley relay, Queens’ “A” squad of Pablo Ortega Navarro, Callen Bartone, Harlem, and Paleocrassas finished second in 1:27.54, just three-tenths behind UNCW’s winning group. Bartone and Filip Urbanski also impressed in the 100 breaststroke, going 55.10 and 56.27.

Caden Fritz claimed the 200 backstroke crown at 1:48.01, while Akos Horvath finished runner-up in the 1000 freestyle (9:26.12) and added a top-five mark in the 200 fly (1:54.10).

In diving, Juan Gonzalez led the way for the Royals’ men with a strong victory on the 3-meter, scoring 349.73 to top the field. Gonzalez also placed third in the 1-meter event with a 300.60. Jacob Roberts rounded out Queens’ efforts on both boards, scoring 172.73 on 1-meter and 178.13 on 3-meter.

WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
On the women’s side, Sarah Leonie Tenzer continued her dominant form with three event victories, sweeping the distance freestyle races. She took first in the 1000 freestyle (9:56.58), 200 freestyle (1:48.98), and 500 freestyle (4:53.10).

Abigail Zboran picked up a win in the 200 fly (2:00.37) and placed second in the 100 fly (54.03), while Maren Patterson earned runner-up honors in the 100 backstroke (54.44) and helped the Royals’ 200 medley relay squad to a third-place finish in 1:41.45 alongside Libby Livesay, Maddie Foster, and Sabina Kupcova.

Kupcova and Bianca Wettel delivered strong swims in the 100 free, finishing second (52.04) and fourth (51.90), respectively, and Foster tied for fourth in the 50 free (23.44). Annika Huber also posted two top-three breaststroke finishes, going 1:03.63 in the 100 and 2:19.33 in the 200.

COACH’S THOUGHTS
“Great swimming on both the men’s and women’s side,” said Queens Director of Swimming Jeff Dugdale. “Good racing, and I’m seeing improvement from weekend to weekend. There was great support from our families and alumni.”

Queens returns home to host the annual Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy from Nov. 21–24 at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center, featuring a deep field of collegiate programs from across the nation.
