Todd DeSorbo on G. Walsh 100 IM: “I knew she could do a 25 breaststroke”

TEXAS VS. VIRGINIA

Virginia head coach Todd DeSorbo walked away from the UT-UVA dual meet impressed, noting that the energy and crowd excitement pushed both teams to fast swims. He also commented on his swiss army knives on the women’s side (Alex Walsh, Gretchen Walsh, and Kate Douglass) and how they have been able to push each other in so many events since they are all so versatile.

Todd is literally just an overly caffeinated dad who tortures his swimmers with terrible dancing and erratic loud noises. 10/10 coaching strats, 0/10 macarena.

I wonder what happened to Douglass in the 100 free? Did she blow a turn? Maybe the DQ got in her head. Anyway- sh@t happens.

“The Three” are amazing. It cannot be easy to manage them, their expectations, and what is best for the team. His attitude is key to it all.
