The third Texas Senior Circuit meet took place July 10-13 in Austin, with some of USA Swimming’s rising young stars in attendance. The following photo vault captures some of the big names from the meet.
Men’s 100 Meter Butterfly – US Nationals Preview – Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte comebacks could collide
Perhaps the marquee event of this summer’s U.S. Nationals, the men’s 100 fly is a mash-up of the year’s two biggest comeback stories, a lineup of iconic swimming figures and exciting young talents that should capture the attention of the whole world on August 8th.
Cal gained 46 points from seeds this morning, a big gain – but it still falls short of Texas, which picked up 76 and is projected to score the exact same amount of points as Cal tonight (not including diving and the 800 free relay).
Texas has qualified 16 swimmers and four divers to compete at the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships set for March…
Texas’ Jack Conger had a strong 200 backstroke on Saturday night to close the Big 12 Championships, though it’s still hard to get a good gauge of where the Longhorns are going into NCAA’s.
Moldenhauer goes off in the 100 back, setting numerous records and punching her ticket to NCAAs.
Arizona’s Bonnie Brandon already has two individual event wins after the first day of competition against Texas.
Clay Youngquist helped stabilize the Texas men after an early DQ. The Georgia women picked up a win after tying A&M last night on their swing through Texas.
Texas’ Clay Youngquist was an impressive in the 200 free as Texas swept Auburn on Thursday.
With good reason, Texas will be counting on big performances from their freshman class, including Jack Conger.
