The swimming portion of the 2021 Men’s ACC Championships begin today with two relays which NC State has dominated the last seven years.
Senior Blaise Vera’s season best 50 free was one of the event wins that led Pitt to decisive victories on their men’s side by 123 points and women’s by 87.
The William & Mary women compiled a 204-46 win over VMI in the final dual meet of the regular season, while the men notched a convincing win over the Keydets, 193-66 on Senior Day.
New Hampshire’s Anna Metzler and Erin Cullather were tabbed as America East Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, while VMI’s Stephen Hopta garnered the men’s swimming honor.
The Washington and Lee women’s swimming team took home a pair of victories on Saturday, defeating crosstown rival VMI and ODAC foe Randolph. The men’s team also swept both opponents.
Binghamton sprinter Olivia Santos and VMI’s Steven Fopta, Calle Biles and John Reed were tabbed as the America East swimmers and divers of the week.
The UMBC swimming and diving teams closed out the 2018 portion of its schedule with a Saturday sweep over America East foe VMI on December 1. The women won by a score of 118-81, while the men finished with a score of 157-121.
