The Penn State Lions outscored the Yale Bulldogs on both the men’s and women’s sides during the first day of competition at host Rutgers University.
Courtney Bartholomew and the Virginia Cavaliers posted the second fastest time in the nation in the 200 medley relay at the Georgia Fall Invite on Saturday
Cassell will bring speed in the 100 and 200 breaststroke to Penn State University next fall.
Nicholas Caldwell and the rest of the Wisconsin Badgers will head out west for another pair of dual meets with Pac-12 competition. The Badgers will take on Cal on Friday and Stanford on Saturday
Minnesota will look to three-peat this weekend at the 2014 Big Ten Championships. Kiera Janzen is key for the Gophers, and will take part in one of the more anticipated races of the weekend, the 500 freestyle.
“It was a great day and has been a great season for our men,” Towson Head Coach Pat Mead said. “I’m very proud to have had the opportunity to coach this team this season.”
The meet, which will be UVa’s first under first-year head coach Augie Busch, will be contested in 25 meters, as opposed to the 25 yards that will be seen in the rest of the Cavaliers’ meets this season. Live results will be available and linked through VirginiaSports.com.
