Notre Dame hosted the annual Shamrock Invite on Friday-Saturday, January 25-26th. The meet was host to plenty of fast swimming and broken records.
Things got off to a bit of an odd start, as Illinois powered to a win in the 200 medley relay, with Notre Dame’s A and B relays taking 2nd and 3rd and Iowa’s A relay placing 4th.
Jake Mitchell, a 16 year old out of Carmel Swim Club, took the men’s 800 free with an 8:21.58.
Griffin Eiber of Indiana Swim Team posted a 50.52 to win the men’s 100 free, marking a .72 second drop from his personal best.
Notre Dame kicked off its racing season today, hosting the annual Dennis Stark Relays meet.
