Swimming great, Brooke Bennett, is a new mom. She gave birth to her baby boy, Bas Maxwell Frioud, October 20th, at 5:46pm. Bas is 7.4 lb and 20 inches.

Bennett was the most dominant distance swimmer from 1996-2000. She claimed gold at 16 in the 800 freestyle at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. At the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, she won gold in the 400 and 800 meter freestyle.
