Aubrey Briseno from Blacklick, Ohio, has committed to swim and study at West Virginia University beginning in 2025-26.

Briseno graduated from Lincoln High School in Gahanna, OH. In high school swimming, she specialized in sprint free and qualified for the Ohio State High School Division I Championships in the 50 free and 100 free. She also swam legs on Lincoln’s 200 medley (25.33 fly) and 200 free (23.63) relays. Her best 50/100 times come from high school season in her junior year, when she went 23.77/52.10 at Districts.
Briseno swims year-round with New Albany Aquatics Club. A versatile sprinter, she competed in the 50/100 free, 100 back, and 100 fly at NCSA Spring Championships. So far this summer, she has already notched a PB in the LCM 50 breast. She capped off last year’s long course season at Columbus Sectionals, where she competed in the 50/100 free, 100 back, and 50/100 fly. She finaled in the 50 fly and nearly matched her PBs in the 50 free, 100 free, and 50 fly.
She hit lifetime bests in the SCY 50/100 free, 100 back, 100 fly, and 200 IM in the spring of 2024.

Briseno’s best 50 free time would have ranked 4th on the Mountaineers’ roster last season. She would have been 5th in the 100 free, 4th in the 100 back, and 6th in the 100 fly. She will suit up next fall with Kenzie Getz, Baylee Sloan, Tabi Main, Maecy Wells, Sezen Kalak, Macey Larson, and Madalyn Witt.
