SMU Divers Complete Day One At Georgia Diving Invite

MUSTANG WOMEN

The SMU Mustang women completed day one of the Georgia Diving Invite, which included the one-meter dive, on Friday.

Freshman Lauren Lamb recorded a 191.40 in the preliminary round. Lamb has earned fourth and fifth place finishes at the SMU Classic and at Houston, respectively, this season.

“Lauren is really coming along. She is showing great progress moving toward the end of the season,” Head Diving Coach Jim Stillson said.

Classmate Margaret Lindsay finished with an event total of 176.00. Lindsay earned first place points for the Mustangs at Rice and picked up a fourth place finish at the Houston meet this season.

“I am very pleased with Meg’s performance today,” Stillson said. “Coming off of almost five weeks of no training because of injury I think she did a very nice job.”

“For freshmen I think they did really well in a tough field,” Stillson added. “I’m very proud of the two of them.”

Lamb and Lindsay are back in action on Saturday when they compete in the three-meter dive event. Check SMUMustangs.com for a full recap of the day.
